Can Higher Penetration Rates Offset Slumping Auto Sales?

With all the talk of Chrysler's bankruptcy today, I thought I would get out of the office today and do some field work. I had concerns that the bankruptcy filing may have negative consequences to Sirius XM. I decided to visit a local Chrysler dealership; Georgetown Chrysler Jeep Dodge located in Norwalk, Connecticut. I was met in the lot by a very knowledgeable and professional salesman named "Andy." Even as I explained that I was not there to buy a car today, Andy was more than willing to talk ...

Is Sirius XM Radio For Sale?

I was pondering the write-ups today that surrounded the Denver Business Journal interview with Liberty Media's John Malone. While most people agree that the internet will not replace satellite radio, until the official Sirius XM app comes out, hungry fans will do what ever it takes to get their cont...

According to a new FCC filing just released, Sirius XM has filed an application requesting special temporary authority to operate 20 terrestrial repeaters at various locations throughout the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, thus paving the way for Sirius XM to expand its service to the Caribbean. One interesting note is that Sirius XM has filed to operate in only the 2320-2332.5 mhz band. This band is specific to the Sirius Satellite Radio service, as XM operates in the 2332.5-2345 MHz band. The aut...
